How much Innova Adult Small Bites should I feed my dog daily?
He's a male bichon frise who weighs 10lbs (I found him *stray* his vet said he is between 4-5 years of age) and is healthy. Hasn't been neutered yet. I'm taking him off Evo small red meat bites since its so high in protein and my dog only goes on walks once or twice a week. He eats about 1 cup and a half daily. I used to feed him 3/4 a cup of Evo into two small portions, but recently I've found free feeding more convenient. Innova's website says I should feed him 5/8 daily but i'm afraid that may be too little and I'd hate for him to be hungry. Also I've heard a dog will stop eating once he is full, so should I fill his bowl full of food and allow him to free feed? or small measured portions.
Also I read Innova small bites dog food doesn't contain enough meat. Any other food suggestions??
I feed my 15 lb Yorkie 1/4cup hard food 2x a day and very rarely soft food maybe 2x a week. (Ceasers brand)
One cup seems to be a bit much. and its cats who stop eating when they are full. most dogs will eat if its in front of them.
Read your products most of them have a suggested amount based on your dogs size. Royal Canin is a good brand specified for specific breeds and sizes and ages. Expesive but healthy and they looove it.v (Or my girl does anyway)
