Do you think this is a double standard?

We've all heard about those pads, and well, some say it's against the rules, some say not.
Well in yesterday's Wings/Stars game, there was a video review where you saw what looked like a puck in the net, turns out it was just Johan Franzens blade. Turco made an excellent save. So, do you think it's oxy-moron that a goalie can't use those pads, but players can tape there sticks black?
And, isn't it illegal for goalies to tape there sticks black too?
So, do you think it should be illegal for players to tape there sticks black if goalies can't use camoflauge pads or tape there sticks black?
gramp--how is it hogwash? i think that if a goalie cant try to camoflauge the net, i dont think a player should be camoflauging a puck.
First off, oxymoron is not the term you want to use here. An Oxymoron is a figure of speech that combines two normally contradictory terms...as in HOT-ICE or GIANT MIDGET. You should ask if we think it is a "double-standard" or "hypocritical" instead.
ANyway, yes, I think it is a double standard. What's good for the shooter should be good for the goalie.
