Does anyone have a three wheel bike, or is it not cool ?
As a senior I want to start bike riding but a regular two wheel bike seems scary. So I want to get a three wheel, but I think folks may laugh at me as I ride by. I live in a small town so everyone knows me. Would it be totally uncool to wear a helmet? Would you ride one?
Don't get a three wheeler. I have an old convential trike with a basket in the rear for grocery getting. While it is fun to ride, it is extremely sketchy. It is very weird to be on a bike that actually steers and doesnt lean. Riding on any sort of off-camber incline is instantly dangerous as the trike feels like its going to tip over. It also feels like it is going to tip when you go around turns. what is fun is tipping it up on 2 wheels and riding it like that, but thats dangerous and i dont imagine you want to do that. I would look into some of the bikes offered at trekbikes.com and electrabikes.com.
