I'm going to be doing lacrosse for my school..which would be better for me?
Ok, so I did field hockey for my school in the fall and it's finally over. There isn't any winter sports that interest me, but my friend convinced me that if I like field hockey, I would like lacrosse. So I'm gonna be doing lacrosse in the spring! I found 2 starter packs that both got good ratings, just whats the difference and which one would be better for me? I suck at defense in ANY sport, and in field hockey I was a midfielder. So that's most likely what I'm gonna be trying out for.. I have a little bit of experience, because my one gym teacher taught my gym class one-on-one (there was only 10 people in the class) the basics and how to play.
Ok, so which is better- the STX Level Girls Lacrosse Starter Pack or the STX Youth Nova Lacrosse Starter Package? Or are they just the same? Don't you need gloves in lacrosse too?
I would go with the Nova. The Level and the Nova are almost the exact same stick, but the Nova is more advanced beginner (but still beginner so you won't have to adjust to its high-tech-ness or anything) so you wouldn't have to upgrade quite as many times. You don't need gloves in lacrosse, some girls like the better grip and in some cases better feel of the ball, but others prefer it barehanded and both ways are legal.
Just remember you need a stick, a mouthguard, and goggles to play, and if you find separate items that are less expensive than what you find in the starter pack (mouthguards usually don't come, so keep that in mind) those would be find to use as well.
Hope this helps, and good luck!
