Stitches on Elbow Can I play in my hockey game?
Last Saturday night I was checked hard in my hockey game. I came out of it with a pretty deep gash just above my elbow. I burst the bursa sack under the elbow and the cut looked almost to the bone. It required 7 stitches and a splint for 3 days to keep the elbow slightly bent. Its been a week now and there has definitely been improvement but the wound still looks reasonably fresh. I get the stitches out next Tuesday but this Saturday Is the semi finals of the league playoffs. It is the probably the last time ill play for my team as i'm a senior this year. basically i want to know if playing in my game will rip the wound open again? is there anyway to wrap it to prevent this?
if you are going to play ,it must be well padded
