Old stains in Hockey Jersey?
I have a hockey jersey (base color is white -100% Polyester) and it has several little tan colored stains, probably from spilled food and drink. I haven't worn it in a couple years, so this will be the first time I've washed it in awhile. I'm wondering if there is anything I can do overnight to help get the stains out when I do laundry tomorrow.
I always washed it with in cold water with like colors as the directions indicated, then let it air dry. Is there any hope to get these stains out?
If you have regular Dawn blue dishwashing liquid, you could try pretreating the stains with it, or better yet, soak the entire jersey in oxyclean solution. I've got a lot of stains out of my son's t-shirts by soaking them prior to laundering.
